Virginia in the fall is probably as pretty a place as one will ever find. We had a great time visiting Steve & Jaru. Jaru took us to her university, Washington and Lee, and introduced us to one of her classes. It was fun to talk about China to all these students studying Chinese. They gave us the tour of Lexington--about 15 minutes on foot. Not exactly a metropolis, not even a Starbucks. But very lovely and we got to visit a good pub and a reasonably good German place.
